A man forcibly entered a 30-year-old model's house in Bhopal at 6 am on July 13 and had her hostage for almost 12 hours. What happened at the end was straight out of a movie.

Rohit was the casting director of the victim and had only one demand - the woman should marry him. Reportedly, the two knew each other and were in love. However, their parents were against the marriage.

Rohit had entered her house on the fifth floor of an apartment in Bhopal and kept it bolt shut. Due to the commotion, the neighbours had the police called, but they could not make their way inside the house. Rohit even threatened to kill himself with a gun he was carrying.

The police then made attempts to communicate with him through video chatting.  Amidst negotiations, Rohit had reportedly demanded water, food, a mobile charger and a stamp paper. Rohit got the victim to write down in the stamp paper that she would indeed marry him.

It took the policemen hours to convince Rohit to let them inside the house. Both were given medical treatment following the rescue. According to the police, both are in a stable condition.
