A man from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, got a fake Rs 500 note from an ATM on Sunday evening. Reportedly, Ashok Prathak withdrew Rs 4,500 from the ATM out of which one Rs 500 note was fake. Instead of saying 'Reserve Bank of India', the note said 'Children Bank of India'.
Prathak reportedly said, "I flashed the fake note in front of the ATM CCTV and informed some people. Another person named Pradeep Uttam walked in and withdrew Rs. 2,000 from the ATM. I asked him to check the cash he had just withdrawn. There were two fake Rs. 500 notes." Allegedly, another man who walked in and withdrew money also found fake notes. The three men registered a complaint with the bank.
