Angry Man Bites Off Co-Passenger's Finger After Argument In Local Train
Home > News Shots > India newsWhile travelling through local transport, we have all been witness to arguments between passengers. Many use ugly language while many get physical too.
But this fight and argument went to another level after which a man lost his finger.
As per India Times report, a fight broke out in the Mumbai local train over a spot next to the door of the Asangaon fast train's first-class coach.
The victim identified as Mahesh Pandurang Dhumbre had boarded the crowded local train from Dadar and got into a small argument with one Asif Yusuf Shaikh.
Dhumbre, who boarded the first-class coach was next to the door. When Shaikh boarded the same train from the next station, he was in a hurry to find a spot next to the door which followed into a heated argument with Dhumbre.
During the argument, Shaikh hurled abuses and bit off a part of Mahesh's index finger and also threatened to throw him out of the train.
"I thought I had injured him. But then I saw a dislodged part of my finger in his mouth. It was me who was bleeding profusely," he said to Mumbai Mirror.
Shocked passengers called the railway helpline number and got Shaikh arrested at Thane station.
Currently, Asif Yusuf Shaikh was booked under sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and section 504 (intentionally insulting and provoking to break public peace).
