NDTV reports state that thick plumes of smoke could be seen rising in the sky from most parts in south-east Delhi after a fire broke out at a rubber godown in the heavily populated Malviya Nagar locality on Tuesday evening. Reports say that the fire began in a truck inside the rubber factory and then spread around 5 pm.
More than 30 fire engines are being pressed into action in what is seen as the highest category fire. Reports state that due to narrow lanes, firefighters are having trouble controlling the fire and further added that one fire personnel has been injured. No casualties have been reported so far.
