A Deputy Commissioner of Police was booked for allegedly raping a woman constable’s daughter after promising her a job in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad, NDTV reports. Police reportedly said that the 23-year-old victim filed a complaint after the cop, Rahul Shrirame allegedly sexually assaulted her repeatedly between February and June 21.
DCP Vinayak Dhakne reportedly said that MIDC Cidco police station registered a case on Wednesday based on the complaint by the victim. The DCP has been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 417 (cheating), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation), Inspector Surendra Malale reportedly said.
