Home > News Shots > India newsAfter days of clash between Lawyers and Delhi police at Tis Hazari Courts Complex, the Delhi High Court clarified that its November 3 order, not to take coercive steps against lawyers, was only in relation to the two FIRs lodged on November 2.
Currently, lawyers in six district courts have abstained from work for the third consecutive day. They are protesting against the clash between advocates and the police at the Tis Hazari Courts Complex and have also denied access to litigants in some courts.
Videos of the same were out on social media where lawyers who were acting like goons and taking the law into their hands. They were openly indulging in arson and beating up policemen.
According to India Today reports, the whole story began with a dispute over a parking spot between a lawyer and a cop on duty. Hours later, lawyers gathered in large numbers and attacked policemen in different court complexes across Delhi.
With the recent update, nearly 20 police personnel and 8 lawyers have been injured in the scuffle at Tis Hazari Court premises.
