Home > News Shots > India newsIn a horrifying case, a 52-year-old man from Kerala's Marayoor town was allegedly murdered on Monday evening by pushing him into a gorge after being hit by a stone.
According to Mathrubhumi, the incident took place at Thevakkad area. An eye witness, who was working at a nearby farming field, said that someone from Theerthamala Muthuva colony, a neighbouring village, killed the deceased, Ayyaswami (52), who was the son of Rangaswami and Kaliyamma.
Media reports further state that the accused hit Ayyaswami with a stone and dragged him nearly 250 meters before throwing him down into the gorge. Meanwhile, Ramakrishnan, who witnessed the crime, reached the spot from hearing the scream of the man.
On revealing more about the incident, he stated that on witnessing the tragic site of murder, he was terrified and and immediately informed the matter to the forest watchers nearby, who further informed to Marayoor police.
After a search by police and locals the body was found beneath rocky area. The accused who has earlier also been charged of criminal case in currently absconding, media reports reveal.
