Nithyananda issued non-bailable warrant in rape case
Home > India news The trial court in Karnataka hearing the rape case against controversial godman Nithyananda has issued a non-bailable warrant against him on Thursday, reports The NewsMinute.
The court passed this after Nithyananda failed to appear for the hearing since June 6, the day charges were framed against him and all the other accused in the case, which dates back to eight years ago when an FIR was registered against him, for raping his disciple.
The Godman first claimed he was "impotent" and later changed his stance to "consensual sex".
