Horrific: Man Beheads 'Girlfriend', Kills Self!

In a shocking case, an 18-year-old girl was beheaded allegedly by a jilted lover in West Bengal's Howrah district on Wednesday. The girl was a class 12 student while the accused was a 30-year-old man, who has been identified as Ajit Bag. 

As per Times Now News report, this incident took place near the girl's home which is in Udaynarayanpur. She was attacked with a chopper at Bhowanipore and sadly died on the spot.  

She was also a student at a school in Uluberia.

When police came into action, and began their search for the crime. The police were shocked to see that the accused later hanged himself from a tree. His body was found at Joypur, which is at least 6 km from Udaynarayanpur, Times of India (ToI) reported.    

After initial investigation, the police said that, the accused attacked the girl after she rejected his proposal. "We are probing the student's murder and the death of the man," said Soumya Ray, Howrah SP.

Earlier this month, a similar incident took place on May 15, where a man from Delhi allegedly shot himself outside a woman's residence, whom he was in love with. He took this step after he failed to meet the woman due to the ongoing lockdown restrictions.
