Jet Airways passenger demands Rs 30 lakh and more after midair scare

It was a scary moment for passengers on the Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Jaipur yesterday when many started bleeding from their ears and nose. The incident happened as the flight crew forgot to select a switch that regulates cabin pressure.

Over 30 passengers complained of nosebleeds and headaches. Out of the 30, five had to be sent to a city hospital for treatment. One of the five reportedly demanded Rs 30 lakh compensation. The passenger complained of the poor service of the airlines and asked for compensation.

He claimed that his doctor advised him to avoid flying for five days and sought hotel stay from Jet Airways. Along with Rs 30 lakh, the passenger also asked for 100 upgrade vouchers to enable him to travel in a business class on an economy class ticket.
