Home > News Shots > India newsA hair-raising video has gone viral where an injured female leopard attacked a man, who was clicking its pictures. This incident took place in the Falakata area of Alipurduar district of West Bengal.
As per Hindustan Times report, the leopard got injured after a speeding vehicle hit it at Dalgaon tea estate at around 10:00 am when it was crossing the Asian Highway from nearby Dalgaon forest.
Minutes later shocked locals and passerby gathered and started clicking pictures of the injured leopard. All this agitated the animal and it pounced on one of the man standing there, Hindustan Times further reported.
In the video, a man can be seen extending his arms towards the leopard in order to get a clear picture. Moments later, the animal, who was lying hurt and motionless suddenly pounced on the man. By looking at this all ran away. Thankfully, the man gets away and runs from the animal.
Meanwhile, Pritam Roy, Beat Officer said that, "The Jaldapara National Park authority has rescued the leopard and will provide her with treatment. Once the leopard is healthy, the authority will release her in the jungle."
