Kerala Floods: Indian Army warns of fake video circulating on social media
Home > India newsA video of an imposter informing people to not help the people of Kerala has been going viral on social media. The Army took control of the situation and on Sunday tweeted out a warning against the video.
The man in the video can be seen wearing an Army Combat uniform and saying, "People must not donate for the flood relief as only rich are affected in Kerala." The Indian Army called it out as fake and wrote, "Imposter wearing Army combat uniform in video spreading disinformation about rescue & relief efforts. Every effort by all & #IndianArmy aimed to overcome this terrifying human tragedy."
The Indian Army also provided a Whatsapp number, '+917290028579' to forward them any fake information they receive.
