Congress party is trailing behind the Congress in the results of the Karnataka Assembly elections. BJP is a few seats short of a clear majority, while Congress has offered unconditional support to Janata Dal-Secular to form the government. Reports suggest that the Congress and JD-S will meet the state governor on Tuesday evening to stake claim to form the government.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu commented on Congress falling behind and said, “I'll stand with Rahul Gandhi till the time I have blood in my body.” He further reportedly added, “Rahul bhai is a leader in the ascent. 2019 (Lok Sabha elections) will be a different ball game. The alliances are coming with him.”
