IIT student found hanging in hostel room, blames sexual assault in note

According to reports, a 21-year-old IIT Delhi student hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his hostel room in the early hours of Friday. A suicide note was also reportedly found in the student’s room which suggested that he took the extreme step as he was a victim of sexual abuse in his childhood.

Police reportedly said that the student in his suicide note also mentioned that pedophiles should be punished severely. Further investigations are underway.
