"Need 'BA/BSc/BCom/BTech' for Dog Handler Job" - IIT, Delhi Clarifies on Viral JOB Notice! - Interesting!

The notice which was up for a non- academic position, a contractual job at the security office of the campus, invoked negative reactions due to two factors; the salary and the eligibility criteria.
"Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the post of dog handler on purely contract basis under Security Office, IIT Delhi. Candidates should possess a B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/B.Tech or any equivalent undergraduate degree. The salary for the profile of the dog handler can go up to Rs 45,000. Candidates must be between the age of 21 and 35 on the date of the interview," the notice read.
The opening also mentioned that the applicant should be having a four- wheeler in order to drive the dog to the veterinarian if required.
The pictures of the notice went viral in social media platforms such as twitter and also WhatsApp.
According to the New Indian Express' report the institute has issued a clarification.
"The institute said it had cancelled the current recruitment process after the error was brought to the notice of higher authorities and a fresh process would be initiated to hire a consultant for taking proper care of the large number of stray dogs on the campus," the report stated.
