President Ram Nath Kovind approved for Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday following the collapse of the ruling coalition party. On Tuesday the BJP pulled out from its alliance with PDP, shortly after which the CM Mehbooba Mufti resigned.

 

The Governor, NN Vohra reportedly forwarded his report to the President requesting for governor's rule under Section 92 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The President approved for governor's rule on Wednesday morning. As he was on a three-nation tour, he had to pass the order in Suriname.
