Fact Check: Government clarifies that Schools are NOT Reopening across the Country!

The Union Home Ministry clarified on Tuesday night that no decision has been taken regarding opening of schools and colleges so far. The statement also mentions that all educational institutions across the country are still restricted from reopening. 

The statement came from the home ministry’s spokesperson after few media organizations reported that the ministry has given permission for all states to reopen schools. 

"No such decision taken by MHA. All Educational institutions are still prohibited to open, throughout the country (sic)," the spokesperson tweeted.

All educational institutions remain closed since mid- march and most of them from March 25 when the nationwide lockdown was imposed to contain the spread of the virus.
