In an event at a school on Tuesday, the Goa Governor Mridula Sinha reportedly said that all youth must definitely get married. She advised the students that one must not stop with a single child.
Sinha was invited as the chief guest of the 8th convocation at the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research. She reportedly stated that children must learn to share and so couples must definitely have at least two children. Reportedly, the Governor made the students take an oath to not send their parents to old-age homes and protect their spouses.
She reportedly said, "Older people often say the younger generation has no respect for human values, but my experience is different. Today’s youngsters are more responsible, realistic and have foresight. This is because of India’s sanskar which starts when a child is in her mother’s womb."
