Global Peace Index released, here is where India stands

The 2018 Global Peace Index was released recently and it has been revealed that the world is less peaceful than it was on any day in the last decade. India was ranked 137th out of the total 163 countries. This is an improvement compared to last year when India was in the 141st position.

The study reportedly said, “The 2018 Global Peace Index reveals a world in which the tensions, conflicts, and crises that emerged in the last decade remain unresolved, resulting in a gradual, sustained fall in peacefulness."

Both USA and Europe became less peaceful compared to last year. According to reports, 92 countries deteriorated in terms of peace in the year 2016-2017, while 71 improved.
