According to a report carried by the Economic Times, the Dewas-based Bank Note Press has started printing the new 100 rupee notes, which could be violet in colour.
Reportedly, the new note would carry the picture of Gujarat's queen Rani ki Vav and it wouldn't affect the circulation of old notes.
It is also reported that the new note might be smaller in size than the one that has been in circulation now and bank ATMs might have to adjust their trays to accommodate the new ones.
