4 Killed, 10 Seriously Injured As Speeding Bus Rams Into Car 

In a shocking case, four of a family were killed in a tragic accident after a speeding bus rammed into a car near Cherumchuvadu in Vaikom in the wee hours today.

The family were on their way to a temple near Cherthala when the accident took place at around 5.45 a.m.  

In the accident, two men and women of a family died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Sooraj, his father Viswanathan, mother Girija and Ajitha. All are natives of Udayamperoor in Ernakulam. 

According to The Hindu report, this accident took place along the Vaikom–Cherthala route when the speeding bus was heading to Ernakulam from Vaikom.

During initial investigations, it is said that the bus driver lost control as the car suddenly came in front. Seconds after hitting the car, the bus then dashed on a compound wall at the side of the road.

With the help of locals, the police had to be cut open the car and take the four people out of it. They were all declared brought dead at a nearby hospital, The Hindu further reported. 

In this collision, ten other people who were on the bus too sustained injuries. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
