According to reports, at least four Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have been killed in a firing by Pakistan Rangers on Tuesday night in Jammu’s Ramgarh sector. Three others were injured in the “unprovoked firing”, a BSF spokesperson reportedly said. Reports suggest that it was not clear if the BSF men were killed in the firing last night or in the early morning.

The deceased jawans have been identified as Assistant Commandant Jitender Singh, sub-inspector Rajneesh, assistant sub-inspector Ramniwas and Constable Hansraj. The injured jawans were taken to hospital for medical aid. The spokesperson added that the Pakistan Rangers used flat and high trajectory weapons in the firing.
