Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee hospitalised

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been hospitalised at AIIMS on Monday. The hospital reportedly claimed that Vajpayee was admitted for an annual check-up.

The 93-year-old has been suffering from health complication for quite some time now. He will reportedly be under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, a pulmonologist and director at AIIMS.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first non-Congress member to serve a full five-year term as the Prime Minister. He has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna.
