Facebook friends meet first time at Durga Pooja, get married 4 hours later!

Destiny is so weird. The weirdness is what makes it interesting for people who believe in it because that feels like things didn't happen by chance but because the universe conspired for it to happen.

Hindustan Times reports that Sudip Ghoshal and Pritama Banerjee became friends on Facebook three months ago but they never met in person.

While pandal hopping during Durga Pooja in Kolkata, the couple met unexpectedly. While some would like to consider it as chance meeting, the couple thought it was a sign from Durga.

Soon, he proposed her and she agreed. “All Pritama wanted was ‘sindoor’ (vermilion) on her forehead. I had no issues because I don’t really believe in rituals,” said Sudip. Though the girl's family is conservative, they accepted the marriage and the groom's mother was happy as well.
