VIDEO: First Visuals of Nizamuddin Markaz Gets Released By Delhi Police
Home > News Shots > India newsAmid the sudden rise of positive coronavirus cases in the country, the Delhi Police released an exclusive video of the Tabligi Jammat religious congregation at Alami Markaz in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. The news about this meeting hit headlines after this issue emerged as a super spreader of COVID-19 when the entire nation was under lockdown since March 25.
As per a Times Now report, more than 2,300 members of the Islamic group had gathered at the headquarters of the Tabligi Jammat in Delhi. In the much talked about video, people can be seen sitting and chatting in close proximity.
People who attended the religious meeting tested positive while others are put under quarantined after showing symptoms of the virus, Times Now further reported.
Currently, around 2,361 people have been evacuated from Nizamuddin Markaz, while 617 have been admitted to nearby hospitals and rest have been quarantined,” Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia said in a statement on Wednesday. Watch the first visuals below:
