Doctor who was out to buy milk for iftar thrashed and threatened by mob
Home > News Shots > India newsDr Nurul, a 30-year-old practicing doctor, who lives near Wazirabad village, was returning after purchasing milk for iftar in his vehicle, when the incident took place, reports India Today.
Nurul said two men came in a white car and started abusing him without any reason.When he told them that they were on the wrong side of the road, the duo called 8-9 other men and brutally thrashed him.
He received several injuries on his head, eyes, face and other parts of the body. According to The Times Of India, the doctor heard two of them calling him a "Muslim" and that he should leave the city otherwise riots will begin.
"I don’t know any of them. I want strict action against the accused," he told TOI. On Sunday, an FIR was registered against unknown assailants under Sections 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly) and other relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sector 53 police station.
Police are yet to arrest the accused, the report said.
