In a unique initiative that's aimed at both cleanliness and warding off plastic, the Indian Railways has announced that it would pay Rs 5 for every plastic water bottle that has been discarded at a special vending machine that has been installed.
For starters, the facility has come up at Gujarat's Vadodara station and could soon expand to other stations as well.
Upon entering your mobile number on to the garbage disposal facility, the passenger's PayTM wallet would be updated by Rs 5.
