The Delhi Metro services on the Violet Line were disrupted on Thursday after a portion of a boundary wall fell on a moving train amid heavy rains. While no casualties were reported, the overhead electricity supply between Central Secretariat and Nehru Place was put off to remove the railing.

“We were sitting inside the train when it was climbing up a ramp while traveling from the underground Jangpura station to the elevated Lajpat Nagar station on Violet Line. There are huge metal barricades on both sides of this ramp,” Mithun Vijayan, a commuter was quoted as telling Times Now.
