He termed the incident to be a “major breach of protocol and inhuman.” He also instructed the officials from the respective district to take immediate action against those who are responsible. In a tweet, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "It is the time to show humanity, but the way few acted, it hurt. Incidents like these should not be repeated elsewhere. Stringent action will be taken on those responsible."

India Today reported that the neighbours of the deceased refused to wait for the ambulance to arrive, fearing infection spread. This compelled the staff who were present to take this drastic step.
Telengana’s Health Minister has also addressed this incident. He said, “It is disturbing how burial grounds aren’t allowing bodies of Covid patients to be cremated.”
