Thiruvananthapuram police on Saturday reportedly arrested a man from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu for breaking into and robbing 15 houses. Edwin would go naked before breaking into houses and wear his underwear on his head, say reports. The 27-year-old would wear the underwear on the head to conceal his identity, suggest reports.

Police reportedly said that the ‘naked thief’, the moniker he was given for his modus operandi, would strip and keep his dress in a vehicle before breaking into a house. He also kept changing his bikes which he would have stolen each time he goes for robbery, police added.

Puzhiyur police nabbed him on suspicion when he was riding a vehicle in Kulathur on Saturday night. Later they realised that he could be the ‘naked thief’. Police said that the man has over 11 cases against him in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Reports say that Edwin is studying law at a college in Cheruvarakonam near Kanyakumari and lived in a lodge in the area. He’s been remanded in judicial custody and police suspect that he could’ve involved in many other thefts in Neyyattinkara, where residents are scared of his robbery attempts.
