Common man reacts to Budget 2019 via memes after petrol hike and tax cut fails
Home > News Shots > India newsFinance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her first budget on Friday announced quite a few schemes. While she announced tax exemption on loans taken for e-vehicles, one of the few reliefs middle class people got was raising the income tax slab for people with annual income up to 5 lakhs.
While the super rich are made to pay more tax, the middle-income group got no tax cuts and instead only petrol hike and house building material price hike. However, rentals are expected to be reduced.
While opposition and finance experts are slamming and decoding the budget, common people took it to Twitter to express their disappointment.

An utterly lacklustre, nondescript, uninspiring & directionless #Budget2019.
Zero on Economic Revival.
Zero on Rural Growth.
Zero on Job Creation.
Zero on Urban Rejuvenation.
Can a mundane jugglery of ‘acronyms’ pass off for vision for a ‘New India’?
