According to reports, BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa will take oath as Chief Minister of Karnataka on Thursday. Reports suggest that Governor Vajubhai Vala has invited Yeddyurappa to form the government in the state. BJP has won Assembly seats in the state Assembly elections falling eight seats short of clear majority.
Meanwhile, Congress-JD(S) alliance together has won seats and staked claim to form the government. The bloc stated that it will resort to legal methods to ensure that they form government in the state. The Congress(78 seats) and JD(S) (37 seats) have together won 115 seats, crossing the 112 majority mark needed to form government in Karnaktaka.
