Deccan Chronicle reports that a new pinprick blood test that's used in countries like Brazil, which can determine sex of foetus, might be used by countries like India and China, where sex-selective abortions are common. The pinprick test created by Brazilian researchers to detect Down's syndrome and other genetic conditions can also detect the sex of the baby, which has created worries within the doctor community regarding its potential misuse.
