BJP worker washes lawmaker's feet and drinks the dirty water

A BJP lawmaker from Jharkhand faced flak after a worker washed his feet and drank the water. The video of the act went viral on social media on Monday stirred heavy disgust. 

The incident took place on Sunday at a campaign rally in Godda. The BJP man, Nishikant Dubey finished his speech following which worker Pawan brought a brass thali and a water container. Pawan sat near Dubey's feet, washed them and drank the water. 

Other parties including, Congress and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) condemned Dubey calling it BJP's arrogance. Dubey, however, supported the incident and called it a common custom to honour guests. He stated, "Someday I will get the opportunity of washing Pawan's feet."
