"Hit government officials with your shoes if they don’t respect you": BJP MLA tells party workers

A shocking statement by BJP MLA Ram Ratan Kushwaha, has created an outrage in the country. He has asked his party workers to assault government employees and beat them up with shoes if they "continue to harass and threaten you".

A video clip of the BJP MLA had gone viral on social media. Kushwaha was speaking at a gathering of BJP workers during a ‘Karyakarta Sammelan Samaroh’.

According to IANS news report, Kushwaha, a legislator from Lalitpur is seen telling his workers in a meeting: "If the Uttar Pradesh government employees do not start working in a month or so or continue to harass our workers, remove your shoes and hit them because patience has a limit too."

"If the government officials affiliated to SP and BSP continue to misbehave with you like they did during elections, you should beware of them," he added.

Kushwaha also threatened that these people should stay wary. “They should stay wary... I don’t flinch even a bit to make sure I do what I resolve to,” the BJP MLA said.
