While the girl released a facebook video without mentioning the name of the former union minister, later the father of the girl revealed the name of the allegedly accused Chinmayanand in his complaint.
The case is being handled by Special Investigation Team (SIT) and reportedly the victim had given her statement and all the necessary evidence to SIT. However, she has expressed her disappointment over SIT for not taking action against Chinmayanand though it's been 15 days since she recorded her statement.
The News18 report quoted the victim's recent statement as “ It has been over 15 days since I recorded my statement and gave the SIT necessary evidence. However, no action has been taken against the accused. The SIT is out to protect him. On Monday (September 16), the victim recorded her statement before the majistrate about her rape complaint and evidences such as her missing spectales, a chip from the hostel room and liqor bottles that were said to be removed from Chinmayanand's room.
