Bikers arrested for assaulting cops, tearing uniform

Three youngsters on bike were arrested after they hurled abuses and assaulted two policemen on the Western Express Highway in Bandra (East) on Sunday, say reports. The bikers - Dinesh Ravindra Hankare, Ayan Mohammad Noor Kadari Shaikh and Fardeen Mohammad Noor Kadari Shaikh, all 20-years-old - were driving rashly towards the check point when the police stopped them. However, they hurled abuses at the cops, removed a constable’s name tag, tore his uniform and tried to pin him down on the road. Later, they were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
