In yet another cab-driver-turns-violent case, an Uber driver reportedly attacked a 30-year-old passenger on July 6 and left him bleeding on the road in Bengaluru. The victim - Abir Chandra, a sales manager had booked an UberPool and the request was accepted by Anush R.

Chandra, who allegedly waited for half-an-hour for the cab, wanted the driver to go faster. Speaking to TOI, Chandra alleged that Anush got enraged and asked him to get out of the car. Chandra reportedly said, "When I pushed him back, he punched me and banged his head on my face. My nose and mouth started bleeding immediately."

However, the police have informed that they received a complaint from both the parties. The driver had alleged that he was verbally ridiculed and attacked by Chandra. A police officer reportedly said, "It is a case of verbal argument turning physical."

According to reports, Uber sent an email to the victim and assured that the driver was barred. They wrote, "Due to the critical nature of the incident reported, we have escalated the matter to the team concerned."
