Andhra Pradesh Doctors Set New Record Amid Coronavirus Outbreak, Crisis!
Home > News Shots > India newsAs India is struggling over the coronavirus crisis, doctors in Andhra Pradesh have set a record by conducting 5,508 COVID -19 tests per day. With this new record, they have occupied the second place in conducting maximum number of coronavirus tests per million population.
This big news was revealed during a review meeting, which was held by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on April 18. The meeting was aimed on the progress of tests being taken up by the government for the containment of coronavirus in the state.
As per an official of the medical and health department, the doctors could achieve this record on Friday itself even without using the rapid test kits by completely concentrating on the tests. The official further stated that the number of tests would be increased in 10 days by conducting over 17,500 people per day and that newly launched rapid test kits will be used for the tests.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed officials to direct volunteers, ASHA workers, and staff in the ward and village secretariats, police and doctors into confidence in eradicating the deadly virus.
