Amidst local media reports in Karnataka that Yeddyurappa may resign before trust vote in the State Assembly, further reports are suggesting that the Chief Minister will meet Governor Vajubhai Vala. While the floor test is scheduled at 4 pm, the meeting between the Governor and Yeddyurappa assumes significance.

Reports also say that the Karnataka BJP president had a telephonic conversation with BJP national president Amit Shah and discussed the situation. He also reportedly spoke to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar amidst the frenzied political scenario in the state.

Local media earlier reported that Yeddyurappa has planned to submit his resignation before the floor test. He would also deliver an hour-long emotional speech in the Assembly after resignation, the reports said.
