Home > News Shots > India newsA 22-year-old man from Kerala was arrested after the police found that he killed his own sister by mixing poison in her ice-cream. On Thursday the accused recorded his statement and was taken into custody.
The entire family consumed ice-cream at night on August 4. The accused plotted his plan to mix poison in ice-cream and managed to do so carefully without his parents knowing. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the girl had died due to poisoning. After the police began probing into the case, they discovered that the girl’s brother was the accused. “We have recorded the statement of her brother Albin who confessed that he had mixed poison in her ice cream,” the police said.
Albin (22), the accused revealed that he wanted to “live alone” and hence decided to kill his younger sister and parents. His sister, Ann was 16-years-old and was found dead in Kasaragod, Kerala, during the early hours of August 5. The police officials also added that the deceased girl’s father complained of uneasiness on August 5 morning and was immediately admitted to a hospital. The mother, however, was not hospitalised.
Further, the police have also found that Albin was working at a hotel, and was forced to stay home due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the months that he spent at home, he was continuously on his phone which had infuriated his parents. His anger heightened when they warned him against spending all his time on phone. Hence he tried to mix rat poison in his family’s food previously. However, all of them only experienced stomach ache. He attempted the same for the second time, but added more rat poison this time, in their ice-cream which lead to the death of his sister.
