An air hostess, working with Air India, has alleged that she has been enduring sexual harassment by a senior airline official for the last six years. She further alleged that the airline management failed to take any action on her complaint made last September. The woman took to social media on Tuesday and sought help from PM Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu.
The senior executive at the airline “sexually harassed, tortured and discriminated” against the “proud single mother”. The ‘predator’ also allegedly compelled women at his office to go drink with him in many bars. “He has insulted and denied me positions and privileges after I rejected his advances,” the woman alleged.
The woman sent the complaint to Suresh Prabhu on May 25 and asked the government to appoint a 'neutral' investigation committee to look into the matter. A Times of India report says the minister tweeted saying that he has directed the Air India CMD to address the issue.
