Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Death: Police probe Case from Financial Angle - Details!
Home > News Shots > India newsThe Mumbai Police is currently investigating the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor was found hanging in his seventh-floor apartment in Mumbai on Sunday, June 14.
“The body has been sent for autopsy. Primafacie it is a case of suicide. We have not found a suicide note yet. We are questioning his friends and family members. Autopsy reports are awaited,” said a senior police officer. Reportedly, Mumbai police is also in touch with the doctor Sushant Singh Rajput had been visiting for depression, in order to find out what triggered the move.
Police told the media that they are now probing the case from the financial and personal angle.
“We are trying to understand if he was going through some financial distress or some trouble on the professional or personal front. This will be ascertained once we question people close to him. We are questioning his sisters, other family members and friends,” a police officer told the media.
“The actor lived in a duplex flat in Mumbai's posh Pali Hill area (Bandra). Sushant Singh Rajput paid Rs 4 lakh 51 thousand in rent per month,” India TV cited in its report.
The police will be going through his financial statements as a part of the investigation. The actor was known for his philanthropic works and generous donations.
