8-year-old in ICU after teacher pierces his throat for failing to solve math problem

According to reports, an 8-year-old boy was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Pune as his food pipe and windpipe were damaged as his math teacher pierced his throat.

On April 10, the boy struggled to solve a math problem which apparently frustrated the math teacher and the teacher hit the boy with a cane stick on his throat.

The class 2 student has now reportedly lost his speech and is in a critical condition. An FIR was reportedly filed against the teacher.
