Italian Tourist in India who Recovered From COVID-19 Dies; Positive Cases Rise Above 200
Home > News Shots > India newsAs a matter of concern, an Italian tourist who had reportedly recovered from the deadly coronavirus died at a private hospital in Jaipur. The tourist had a massive cardiac arrest and passed away in India. As per a News Nation report, the man was suffering with heart and lungs problem and had recovered from COVID-19 at the SMS Hospital in Rajasthan.
The man wanted to shift to a private hospital, so he was allowed to be shifted to the Fortis hospital. "He was fine in the SMS Hospital and he was fit from our side," SMS Medical College principal Sudhir Bhandari said.
With the growing positive cases in the world, India is rapidly rising with cases to 206 with four deaths so far due to COVID-19 even after all the preventive measures and means.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the coronavirus outbreak. He requested people to stay home and follow the advisories issued by the Centre and the state governments.
During his speech, PM Modi announced that the entire nation will observe 'janta curfew' on March 22 from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Highlighting about the number of affected cases in Italy and France; so far Italy has reported 475 new deaths, which is the biggest report since the outbreak. Meanwhile, France also reported a spike in deaths to a total of 264 in 24 hours.
