Home > News Shots > India newsIn a shocking case, two people have been killed after a four-storey building in which construction work was going on collapsed in north-east Delhi's Seelampur.
A rescue official said several people were injured while six people have been rescued in the Seelampur building collapse.
As per NDTV reports, the fire department came into action after they received a call about the incident at 11:29 pm. Six fire trucks were sent to the site to begin rescue operation.
Meanwhile, a senior Delhi Fire Service official said that, "some people could be trapped under the debris and rescuers are looking for survivors. Six people have been rescued so far."
One of the deceased has been identified as Heena, 22. "My sister was killed in the incident," said Danish, Heena's brother.
The police are trying to find out the identity of the other person killed in the mishap. While the injured are being treated in a hospital nearby.
The cause of the building collapse has not been ascertained yet. Further details are awaited in this matter.
