Home > News Shots > India newsIn a shocking case from Haryana, at least 10 people died and one was injured in a road accident on the Jind-Hansi road on Tuesday night.
The incident took place after an oil tanker ran over their auto at about 10:30 in the night.
According to NDTV reports, the men were on their way home after taking part in an Army recruitment rally. Those killed were in the age group of 18-22 years, they belonged to different villages in Jind district.
The men had travelled about 8 kilometers in the auto before the incident can take place. Minutes after the accident, the police were informed and they ran into action.
A senior police official Kaptal Singh said that "Two of three people have been identified. We have found documents from their bags and intimated their family members to verify their identity".
Currently, the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment. Police also confirmed that the men who died include five from a single village.
