#SorryBoss is Trending as People Share Hilarious Pics of Accidental Texts to Their Bosses!
Home > News Shots > Fun Facts newsBoss-employee relationship is complex in its own way with all those ‘do’s and don’ts attached. When it comes to messaging or emailing, it becomes more complex. Some bosses will want perfect punctuations while a few do not encourage emojis. Abbreviations and capital letters play the ‘villain’ at times. With all these said, imagine sending your boss a message that was actually meant for someone else!
Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres shared a post on Twitter asking people to share their awkward messaging experiences with their boss. “Have you ever thought you were texting your significant other or friend, and accidentally ended up texting your boss?! We want to see your text exchange! #SorryBoss,” his tweet read. Pretty soon, the hashtag began trending on Twitter with thousands of screenshots flooding in.
From proposals to gossiping to grocery lists, this thread has it all!
A few funny excerpts from the thread are as follows.
“Two of my coworkers started dating…Mitchell meant to email Kristen, but accidentally emailed our supervisor instead, simply stating, “I think we are more than friends” – awkward….”
“My ex-boss was blind and his phone READ OUT his texts. His name is John. My husband’s name is John. You can guess the rest.”
I thought I texted my friend that my boss was being pissy. It went to him. Luckily autocorrect changed it to picky. He came and apologized. Lol
