As a big opportunity for women employees, IT major Tech Mahindra announced collaboration with NITI Aayog to empower women entrepreneurs in the country.

IT Major Partners with NITI Aayog to Support Women Entrepreneurship - How IT Employees are Benefited?

Tech Mahindra, who has partnered with the winners of Women Transforming India (WTI) Awards, is a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog. This helps to recognise women leaders in entrepreneurship across various sectors like Healthcare and Lifesciences, Agritech, Education amongst others. 

The company in a statement said that "Tech Mahindra will provide mentorship, co-create solutions leveraging new age technologies and support in developing a go-to-market strategy."

"Our partnership with WEP will enable us to nurture an ecosystem for women entrepreneurs that can foster conditions as well as facilitate technological support for innovative ideas and better positioning," CP Gurnani, Managing Director and CEO, Tech Mahindra, said in a statement. 

Meanwhile, the company further in its statement claimed that Tech Mahindra’s Research & Development arm, Makers lab will support women entrepreneurs

-  through joint research

- building go-to-market strategies to drive their growth 

- by leveraging next-generation technologies to develop cutting-edge solutions

"This partnership with Tech Mahindra underscores our mutual commitment of leveraging new-age technologies to uplift societies and support the aspirations of women entrepreneurs in India," said Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog.

According to an Economic Times report, IT major Tech Mahindra and WEP will focus on breeding new ideas, identifying gaps and providing technological prowess to develop innovative solutions for better positioning in the market and commercial success.

Not just that, the firm will also will also support the women entrepreneurs to build a robust ecosystem for them and help them in long-term business strategies. 

Earlier in August, Tech Mahindra CFO, Manoj Bhat announced that at least 25 to 30 percent of the company’s employees will be permanently working from home post the lockdown scenario. While speaking to Business Insider, he said “This will mean change in policies, change in our facilities, creating a new model to attract talent — all of those changes will come in,”.

Currently, the IT major also plans to implement this model within the next four quarters as Bhat said, “Maybe by March or June next year."
