TCS CEO Announces Recruiting Techies in 'Lateral Hiring' in Selective Areas; 'On-boarding' 40,000 freshers from Mid-July! - Details
Home > News Shots > Business newsTata Consultancy Services (TCS) will be taking 40,000 freshers in a planned and phased manner from this month. The company has confirmed that it will start lateral hiring soon.
TCS, Human Resources Head, Milind Lakkad said, “The process was delayed because of their academic year which got delayed.” Hence fresh recruits are reassured of hiring by TCS. Further, the CEO on Thursday confirmed that the company will begin lateral hiring, according to a report published by MoneyControl.com. But, the company has not released a statement as to which areas will begin lateral hiring nor has it commented on the quantum of hiring.
Previously, the company had stalled lateral hiring due to the on-going global pandemic. Now, the company has confidently opened up both fresh recruiting and lateral hiring. NG Subramanium, COO TCS has said that majority of the deal closures were in the areas of cloud migration, reimaging customer experience, and digital transformation. These new hiring are also likely to be in areas such as cloud.
Lakkad had also said that the company will not alter the bench policy and that it is not looking at retrenching its employees. TCS has registered a revenue of $5,059 in Q1 which records a six plus per cent of down fall.
